As soon as I found out about this little beauty I jumped on Amazon and ordered it straight away. AmazonGlobal is one of my favourite places for beauty shopping online as you can usually pick up what you want at US prices so I scored the Lorac 2 for $42 plus about $5 shipping which ended up being about 53AUD which is pretty fantastic compared to what I would have payed elsewhere.
Like its predecessor the top row are mattes with the shimmer/satin colours running underneath
Lorac and Lorac 2
The quality of the shadows is as usual with Lorac, on point. Super soft and glide on the skin easily. I have found that there is more fallout with the Lorac 2 – especially with the shade “cocoa” which turns to a crumbly mess as soon as I run my brush over it. I think I prefer the colours from the original palette simply because it has more matte brown shades which I wear on a daily basis but I’m also glad that they haven’t repeated themselves and produced another palette which is just a muted version of the colours in the first palette and instead leaned more towards the grey side of the spectrum and added those two amazing pops of colour which are “Navy” and “Jade”.
When I first received the package in the mail I sat there for a good 10 minutes trying to match up the names from the 2 palettes which you may have noticed seem to correspond with each other (or I might just be imagining things), like ‘Champagne’ and ‘Rosé’, or ‘Gold’ and ‘Silver’ and ‘Garnet’ and ‘Jade’, which (intentional or not) is a fun addition.
